For one thing, there are financial benefits because some of the healthiest ingredients tend to also be the most affordable. Consider that grains, beans, fruits, and vegetables are the essential foods that should be consumed in the largest quantities on any given day. Things like rice, lentils, apples, and green leafy vegetables are all incredibly inexpensive and yet are amongst the healthiest of foods available.
Even if someone doesn’t transition completely to a healthier way of cooking, there are always going to be direct benefits of making a change of this kind in the daily eating habits.
